Learning From My Gambling Failures
Posted in Casino on 04/05/2010 03:21 pm by Jarrett1st to explain the reason I wrote this essay. I have been betting on the net or at land based casinos for a great many years. I have discovered, the addiction can grab a hold of you and you will not even realize it until you are bankrupt. Particularly if you are on a winning run. I’ve gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in a very tiny amount of time and still on occasion, I’ll go a bit too far. It appears you are just having fun until you start to track your loss and the anguish sets in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can win it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you become queasy in your stomach and the harder you try the faster you lose.
When you notice that you’re ahead, STAY on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, do not tell yourself, "well perhaps just one more" and over and over again, believe me, this concept RARELY ever functions. Say you are playing on slots, have an amount put aside before starting your play. DO NOT go over that limit, no matter how tempting. If you actually win, put that in a different canister. Don’t spend your profits no matter what. As soon as you have gone through your primary set limit, bail out. Leave, whether it’s on the internet or at a brick and mortar casino, don’t stick around. Always remember, there is going to be another day, a different time.
Remember, wagering is assumed to be exciting not exhausting, nauseating work! If you are not enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcannot afford the loss, do not even start.
